The notable cases include Har Lal's case in which Abdullah Nizamani appeared as co-counsel along with Barrister Yasser Latif Hamdani. The case related to an arbitrary clause in the National Identification Card form, which required the religious minorities to sign a negative declaration saying that they are not Muslims despite mentioning their religion. The Har Lal case was vigorously pursued by Barrister Hamdani and Barrister Nizamani. After lenghty litigation, the High Court allowed the petition, declared the discriminatory clause illegal, and directed the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) and federal ministry of Interior Affairs to redesign the identification card form. The case has been reported in the Pakistan Law Digest - a leading and authoritative law journal.
